I bonked yesterday

It was raining and I hadn't gone for a run in the rain forever. Turns out it's one of those romantic notions that's far better in theory than practice - I only got a mile or two before I was soaked and cold and decided to wrap it up far short of my mileage goal. Hopefully today's run will be more on point.

  1. HI Mike

Thanks for stopping by my blog and giving me a chance to get to know you. I have been to Charleston and it seems like a wonderful city to run in and around. We drove down after one of my Myrtle Beach Marathons and were impressed with the architecture, gardens, etc.

Great goal on your 10k time. I know the thing that has made the most difference for me in the last couple years has been doing intervals. I typically do anywhere from 1/2 mile to mile intervals and it seems to help me all the way up to the marathon.

Best of luck with your running.

  2. Thanks Bill! I appreciate your insight. I've also run the Myrtle Beach marathon and it's my current PR, a great, fast flat race.
